No building notice to arrange with the council, no inspection to book, no waiting. You're issued a Building Regulations Compliance Certificate for the job — the document a buyer's solicitor asks for when you come to sell the house.

They do the same job. Both are Government-authorised competent person schemes and both issue a compliance certificate with equal legal standing. FENSA is simply better known because it advertises more.
Do I get a certificate?
Yes — a Building Regulations Compliance Certificate for the installation. Keep it with your house paperwork, because you'll be asked for it when you sell.
Can you replace just one window?
Yes. There's no minimum — one window is a perfectly normal job.
