We deal with all of it: forced doors and windows, footballs and stones, slammed doors, storm damage, and the occasional lorry wing mirror. Whatever the cause, the sequence is the same — make safe, secure, then reglaze properly.
Single glazed panes can often be done the same day
It makes a difference what has broken. A single glazed pane — an older timber window, a shed, a garage, a greenhouse, an internal door — is cut from stock glass, so in many cases we can reglaze it there and then rather than boarding it and coming back. A double glazed sealed unit is different: it has to be made to the exact size and that takes a few days, which is why those jobs get boarded first. Tell us which you think it is when you ring and we will bring the right glass.
Insurance work
If you're claiming, we can provide a written quote and an itemised invoice with photographs of the damage, which is what most insurers ask for. Tell us at the start that it's an insurance job and we'll document it as we go.
Boarding up is temporary, not a fix
Board is there to keep your property secure and weatherproof while the replacement glass is made. We won't leave you boarded up any longer than the glass takes, and we'll tell you honestly when that will be when we're standing there looking at it.

Will you take the broken glass away?
Yes. Every fragment gets cleared and taken with us — we don't leave you sweeping up.
Is a broken single glazed window quicker to fix than double glazing?
Usually yes. Single glazed panes are cut from stock, so they can often be replaced on the first visit. A sealed unit has to be manufactured to size, so we make the opening safe and come back to fit it — normally within a few days.
Can you secure a door as well as a window?
Yes. Doors often need the lock sorting as well as the glass, and we can do both.
What if it happens at the weekend?
Give us a ring and we'll tell you straight away what we can do and when. We'd rather be honest about timing than have you waiting in.
