What we actually do
Most of our work is the everyday stuff that keeps a house comfortable and secure: misted double glazing, windows that have dropped or stopped locking, doors that drag, broken panes that need making safe the same day. We also cut glass to size for anything you need it for, from a shelf to a greenhouse to a wood burner door.
Registered, so you get the certificate
Replacement windows and doors have to meet Building Regulations, and somebody has to certify that they do. We're registered with Certass, a Government-authorised competent person scheme, which licenses us to self-certify our own installations. That means no building notice to arrange with the council and no inspection to book — and you're issued a Building Regulations Compliance Certificate for the work. Keep it with the house paperwork, because a buyer's solicitor will ask for it the day you come to sell.
Your money is protected
We're a Trusted Installer with the Plastics Window Federation. Through the scheme our customers get insurance-backed guarantees and protection on any deposit paid up front, plus a free conciliation service to fall back on if something ever can't be sorted out between us. We also carry £5 million of public liability insurance, and we're VAT registered — so you get a proper VAT invoice, which matters if you're a landlord or putting the work through a business.
How we work
Quotes are free, there's no call-out charge for them and there's no obligation. If a repair will do, we'll tell you that rather than quote you for a replacement — we'd rather do the honest job and have you ring us again. We turn up when we say we will, we clear up after ourselves, and we take the old glass and frames away with us.
