Whole streets had their windows done at the same time
Bloxwich has a lot of estate housing that was improved in one go rather than house by house — a street or a block getting new uPVC in the same year, often through the same scheme. A cracked pane and a pane that has gone completely are two different jobs on the day. A crack can normally wait for the right glass to be ordered. A hole in the window can't, so the first visit is about making it safe and secure — clearing the glass out of the frame and boarding it if the replacement can't go straight in. Then it's measured and done properly once the glass arrives.
Close enough to come back
Being two miles up the road isn't a sales point so much as a practical one. If a handle needs adjusting after a repair, or a unit turns out to have a mark on it, coming back isn't a half-day round trip. It also means we can usually take a look at something the same week rather than booking you in a fortnight out.
