Large panes are not just bigger

It is heavy enough to want two people, it flexes, and it has to be supported properly going in or it will be stressed in the frame from the first day. Leaded lights and patterned glass
Broken leaded panels and obscure patterned glass are common in the doors, fanlights and bays around Penn and Tettenhall, and the assumption is usually that a break means losing the pattern. It generally does not. A leaded panel can be remade to the same design, and most older obscure patterns can still be matched.
