Misting ON the glass and misting IN the glass are different problems
Worth settling before anything else, because they get confused constantly and only one of them is a glazing job. Condensation you can wipe off the room side of the window on a cold morning is surface condensation — humid air in the house meeting cold glass. Annoying, but the window is doing nothing wrong and a new unit will not stop it. Condensation you cannot reach, sitting between the two panes with a tidemark that builds up over the years, means the seal round the unit has failed and damp air is getting into the cavity. That one is not repairable and not cleanable. If you can wipe it away it is the room; if you cannot, it is the unit.
Measuring is the part that decides everything
A sealed unit is made to the size it is ordered at, so measuring matters more than anything else in the job. It comes off the glass itself rather than the frame, and on the estates round here the pattern usually confirms it — where a size looks odd against the houses either side, that is worth a second look before anything is ordered. Getting it right first time is the difference between one visit and two.
Toughened, obscure and Georgian units
Plenty of the units round here are not plain glass. Bathroom and door panes are usually obscure and often toughened, and Georgian bars inside the unit were popular on exactly this generation of window. All of that can be reproduced, but it has to be identified before ordering rather than found on the day.

It does. Where openings repeat, measuring is quicker and there are fewer surprises. If neighbours have the same problem it is often worth sorting them at the same time.
How do I know if my unit is toughened?
There will be a small etched stamp in one corner of the pane, usually near the edge, with a kitemark or a standard number on it. If you can photograph that corner it saves a visit.
